DYE AND LET LIVE

Hoyt Johnson III is a self-taught artist. Born in 1863 in Catskill, New York, Hoyt took to art as soon as he was able to hold a crayon (15 years old). Throughout his childhood, Hoyt developed an appreciation for his majestic surroundings. He would often sit in trees for hours with squirrels and other nuts, or sit in a meadow with the homeless. Years of artistic expression made it clear that Hoyt's life would be centered upon his passion for art. After high school, Hoyt attended "Rutabaga Art Academy for the Gifted and Others" where he discovered many discoveries.
